For as long as I can remember I have always struggled with my weight and suffered from terrible body image and mental health.

I wasted many years seeing useless doctors who would suggest that i stop eating "junk foods" and just exercise more, if at all. ( Which couldn't be further from the truth!!) So after much demanding I finally get some tests done, and what do you know... I have PCOS, which is actually a genetic illness.

PCOS, short for Polycystic ovary syndrome, is an autoimmune disease that affects how the ovaries work. Symptoms of PCOS include:

~Irregular periods or no periods at all difficulty getting pregnant as a result of irregular ovulation.

~Excessive hair growth (hirsutism) – usually on the face, chest, back and stomach.

~weight gain.

~Thinning hair and hair loss from the head.

~oily skin and or cystic acne.

PCOS is also associated with an increased risk of developing health problems in later life, such as type 2 diabetes and high cholesterol levels.

The main treatment for polycystic ovary syndrome is medicines for things like hair growth and irregular periods. Keeping a healthy weight.

Since the doctors didn't know very much about PCOS, I did my own research. I found out that actually many counties such as the USA, France, Germany and all private health care countries etc.. take this much more seriously then the UK does.

So I learnt all about PCOS and about why I have these horrible symptoms. I learn that Gluten and Dairy are inflammation foods, that will elevate testosterone and make insulin resistance worse, making weight loss almost impossible. Causing and explaining why I have been and do get ill and have symptoms like bloating, hives, acne depression/anxiety etc. Therefore it is recommended that women with PCOS eliminate them from their diet. So I do, it's so so hard and I have to be so careful and just like that weight does begin to drop off, combined with immense effort in having a balanced healthy non-gluten and dairy lifestyle and plenty of exercising. So now I say " prepare for change world".

My research has been so helpful, as I'm now beginning to feel human again. I've made this page to help people out. From a fellow Cyster who wants help with learning about PCOS, from the best supplements, foods and exercises for PCOS to how to adjust to living gluten and dairy-free, and how to keep calm and happy knowing that it will never go away and just like myself and many other women, you will forever have to manage it and your symptoms. To blogging about self-confidence, mental health and overall wellness and then of course lifestyle and my favourite... recipes!! ( I am a massive foodie and love cooking!!!)

Thank you for reading my post, please help me by sharing this with your friends and family so we can share the knowledge.
